Today is the ExtraOrdinary Give! It is the first time that Veritas Academy has participated in this event. We have received almost $13,000 dollars by 6pm. There are still six hours to give! Just click here. It's very easy and secure. 

Quite frankly, I and the team at school already see about 10 ways we can have more fun and do even better next year. Still, this is amazing. How amazing? I will tell you. 

Today, I was thanking one of the members of our Leadership Circle, Cathie Rosado. Most of you know her as "The Bouncy House Lady" who donates the bounce house equipment for so many of our events. She is a rock star (and your little ones believe that more than I do)! She has suggested, goaded, and championed the idea of joining the ExtraordinaryGive and getting our endowment started. We now have done both and it is really exciting. 

What's more? It is exciting to be part of such a great County. As I was talking with Cathie, I asked: "Does any other community have this event?" They do, but here is what is really cool. Recently, Miami Dade County had their event. I was told that they raised $9.1 million. Which is really great. Last year (2015) Lancaster County raised 6.1 million. But lets go deeper into the numbers. Miami Dade has 2.6 million people; Lancaster County has a shade over 500,000. Thus, we raise 2/3 of their total with 1/5 of their people. Yow! What a County! What a community.

Next, there were so many touching things at school today. Five of our seniors gave up their study hall time to call our alums and families to remind them of the Give. Their pictures are included.

We had our Ga Ga Palooza Event. It was a blast.
