Doing some reading in tithing recently. Here is a blog post from Douglas Wilson that is very interesting especially concerning the discretion of the person giving the tithe to direct it. I am not sure I agree with it, but it is a very interesting read:
As the state contemplates a return to financial sanity and sustainability (may we have such high hopes?), the church needs to prepare ourselves. We need to think through issues of need and charity because the needs are come. Yeah, they are already upon us.
