Kevin Ream

Chairman

Kevin Ream joined the board in 2019, and also a member of the finance committee. Kevin is Director of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Services at Wohlsen Construction and is also a partner and CFO of Brookstone Industries (a sheet metal fabrication company). Kevin was born and raised in southern York County and served in the US Marine Corps Reserve for four years before moving to Lancaster County in 1996. Kevin and his wife Mylene have two children, one in secondary school at Veritas Academy and one who just graduated from Veritas. The Reams are members of Lancaster Evangelical Free Church.

David Aungst

Vice Chairman

David Aungst is President of High Hotels, Ltd.  He is a graduate of James Madison University with a BBA in Accounting.  Prior to joining High Hotels, he worked for Marriott International for in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Washington, DC.  He also worked for Prison Fellowship Ministries in Lansdowne, VA.  He is married to Mindy Aungst and they have two daughters and a son who attend Veritas Academy.  The Aungst family attends Victory Church.

Bradley Brossman

Bradley Brossman, Ph. D., is Vice President, Psychometrics of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has one daughter currently in Grammar School at Veritas Academy.

Scott Forbes

Scott Forbes is a graduate of Towson University (BS- Business) and U of Pittsburgh (MBA). He served on the attack submarine USS KEY West (SSN 722) and then as a Naval Acquisition Contracting Officer in the Naval Air Systems Command. Scott also worked in pharmaceutical sales with Merck & Co for 16 years. He currently serves local farmers as a Dairy Nutritional Consultant. Scott and Rhonda have been members of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 22 years. Scott is married to Rhonda and they have two daughters and two sons, all of whom graduated from Veritas Academy. Scott previously served on the board from 2001-2016.

Chuck Heath

Chuck Heath is the president at Heath Architecture. He and his wife Gail attend Wheatland Presbyterian Church and their daughter is a junior at Veritas Academy.

Susan McKnight

Susan McKnight joined the Board in 2021. The McKnight family attends Westminister Presbyterian Church and their two children are students at Veritas.

Mark Moses

Mark Moses is a senior risk manager at Seimens Financial Services. He is a graduate of Messiah College with of BS in Business Management. They have four children - two Veritas graduates, and three current Veritas Academy students.

Tim Bender

Board Advisor

Tim Bender teaches Leadership to our senior class, serves as an adviser to the school board, and is a member of the Finance Committee. He has over 20 years of experience in banking and most recently served as the Cheif Credit and Operations Officer-SVP for Bank of Bird-in-Hand. Tim and his wife Wilma live in New Holland and have 3 sons, of whom two are Veritas graduates, and one who is currently in grammar school. Tim is a member of Zeltenreich Reformed Church.
