Veritas teachers are scholars in their respective disciplines, yet they are not distant from our community. They love their students as well as their subject matter. Our teachers embody the high expectations, involvement, care and encouragement of a good parent; they are thoroughly invested in the success of their students and they find joy and inspiration in the students who bless them every day.

During the Rhetoric years, 9th through 12th grade, students are prepared to communicate winsomely and persuasively through formal rhetoric classes and public speaking. Our philosophy, curriculum, and events guide us toward preparing students to be loving, serving, thinking adults.

A classical Christian education is not content with students whose minds are full of facts and whose reason helps them find truth. Students must learn how to persuasively communicate that truth to influence the world.

Classes offer ample opportunity for students to discuss, debate, and present ideas in each discipline. While rigorous math and science studies continue through advanced Calculus II and Scientific Research courses, the cornerstone Omnibus curriculum challenges students to delve deeper into some of the most challenging and influential works of literature from the Ancients through modern eras. wrestle with philosophical and worldview issues, and practice the art of listening, writing, and speaking well.

Each year builds upon the previous, with students constantly polishing and perfecting their communication skills. The culmination of this training is when each student writes a senior thesis paper and defends it before an audience and a panel of experts.

A student who has completed all three Trivium phases in a Classical Christian Education - from Grammar to Logic to Rhetoric - will be a well-read, well-spoken individual who knows what they believe, why they believe it, and how to communicate it to positively impact the world around them.
