Our winter sports program includes middle school and high school basketball for Girls and Boys. Basketball season runs from late November through mid February. Home games are played at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex and at Lancaster Brethren in Christ.
At Veritas Academy, our mission is to cultivate loving, serving, thinking students. The necessity of winning is not emphasized as much as performing to one’s best for the benefit of the team. Striving to play with actions pleasing to Christ is of the upmost importance. The primary concern of the coach is teaching a Christian athlete how to learn to deal with both winning and losing, as well as the pressures in the athletic world, in a manner that is pleasing to God.
The athletic event has its importance after the concepts mentioned above. We believe the team is more important that one individual. While team unity is vital, individual achievements are also recognized.
