Bring the whole family and invite your friends for this beloved tradition! A fall festival with games, inflatables, activities, food, a "Tot Trot" for little ones and a timed one-mile fun run race make for a memorable morning. But the biggest question of the day is: WHO WILL BEAT THE PUMPKIN?

Schedule:

    Check-in, Warm Ups, Course Walk Through

  • 10:00 am
    Tot Trot
    100 yard dash fun run for kids under 5

  • 10:15 am
    The Great Pumpkin Chase
    One mile, marked and timed cross country run for ages Pre-K through 6th grade

  • 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
    Games, inflatables, and food (available for purchase)

Cost:

$10 per mile runner
$5 per Tot Trot runner (under 5 years old)

Fall fest activities, including games and inflatables, are FREE. Families can come as spectators of the race and participate in the fall fest at no charge.

Food available for purchase (cash only or FACTS PrePaid account payment) on site.

About the Race

Parents are permitted to run with younger children if they wish.

Kids will run a one-mile, pre-marked cross country course, along with "The Pumpkin" (a school staff member or varsity cross country runner dressed as the eponymous gourd). Cross country team members and adults will be stationed along the course for direction and encouragement.

The Tot Trot for children under 5 is a simple 100 yard sprint race with the pumpkin, after which children get a prize.

Medals are awarded to the top 10 boy and top 10 girl finishers. Go get that pumpkin!

This event is open to the public! Even if you're not part of the Veritas Academy school community, we welcome your family to come run and play and enjoy the fun! If you'd like to learn more about classical Christian education at Veritas Academy, we will have information and school leaders on hand to share information and talk with you about Veritas.
